In an unforeseen occurrence of purported sexual misconduct, a female constable within the police force has leveled allegations against the inspector, accusing him of exploiting her physically under the guise of matrimony in Farrukhabad district, Uttar Pradesh, greatly embarrassing the state’s Police Department.
Upon the female constable’s formal complaint, the authorities have initiated legal proceedings against three individuals, including the aforementioned Inspector.
Per the complaint tendered by the female constable at the pertinent police station, during her tenure at a local police precinct in the district, Inspector Deepak Kumar developed an intimate relationship with her under the guise of matrimonial intentions. Throughout the course of their association, the accused subjected her to physical mistreatment, as reported by the female constable. Furthermore, she disclosed instances of being sexually harassed during trips to Rajasthan and Noida orchestrated by the inspector.
The woman articulated that upon her insistence on formalizing their relationship through marriage, the inspector persistently deferred the matter with a variety of pretexts. Consequently, she lodged a formal grievance with the local city official and the former station in-charge of the Kadri Gate police station.
Upon summoning by the authorities, the inspector purportedly provided false assurances of marriage to the woman, persisting in both physical and psychological abuse, alongside instances of extortion, as relayed by her.
The woman has filed an official complaint at the women’s police station, resulting in the registration of a case against Deepak Kumar, the Incharge of the Housing Development Outpost, his father Bachchu Singh, and his mother under sections 376, 120-B, and 509, on the directives of Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar, as per an official statement. It was further disclosed that the accused was allegedly contemplating marriage with another woman while forsaking the female constable.
