In the context of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s discourse regarding the Congress’ intent to redistribute citizens’ assets, Akhilesh Yadav, president of the Samajwadi Party (SP), remarked on Tuesday that the trajectory of election outcomes is discernible from the orations of BJP leaders.
He articulated that in the event of the creation of an INDIA bloc administration post-election, the underprivileged will not only receive the current ration but also be supplied with nourishing foodstuffs.
During a rally supporting INDIA bloc candidates in Aligarh and Hathras, Yadav asserted, “While the election outcomes will unfold later, you must have now absorbed the discourse from the individuals of Delhi (PM) and the citizens of Lucknow (CM). The inclinations of the election results manifest in the speeches of those on the brink of losing power.”
The erstwhile Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh highlighted, “The BJP’s position has deteriorated in the recently concluded initial phase of the Lok Sabha elections.” “The ideologies being disseminated and imposed on others are essentially their (BJP’s) ‘inner thoughts’ (in their mind). We wish to convey to them (BJP) that it is now time to deliberate on the Constitution,” he appended.
Though not explicitly naming individuals, it was a clear allusion to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in Banswara, Rajasthan, wherein he critiqued the Congress’ manifesto, alleging its intent to allocate citizens’ hard-earned assets and valuables to “infiltrators” and “those with larger families.” Modi referenced his predecessor Dr. Manmohan Singh’s 2006 speech to argue that Singh had purportedly stated that Muslims hold the foremost claim on the country’s resources.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath earlier claimed that the Congress aimed to enforce Sharia law in the nation. The Samajwadi Party head noted that discussions on the INDIA bloc have commenced, whether in Uttar Pradesh or across the nation.
“The gust of wind from the west (western UP) has forecasted the BJP’s imminent demise this time. I urge the people of Aligarh to join hands so we can thwart the BJP’s schemes of perpetuating animosity indefinitely. One must exercise utmost caution with individuals in the BJP,” Yadav expressed.
“The image they (BJP) have cultivated is that of “deception and plunder” (lies and plunder). The BJP has assembled the largest repository of criminals and corrupt individuals. All the criminals and corrupt elements have congregated in their repository,” he added.
Touching upon electoral bonds, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh noted, “Since the issue of electoral bonds surfaced, the BJP has been under scrutiny.” “The BJP facilitated the escape of industrialists, who had acquired substantial bank loans, out of the country. Large industrialists had their loans forgiven, yet our farmers’ loans remained untouched,” Yadav highlighted.
“The farmers’ debts will be pardoned upon the establishment of the INDIA coalition government,” he further asserted. Characterizing this election as a battle to safeguard the Constitution, Yadav mentioned that BJP members are making grand proclamations, questioning whether tomorrow they might strip “our and your right to vote.”
Intensifying his critique of the BJP, Yadav contended, “This Constitution is amenable to alteration. Their associates are subtly and occasionally overtly stating that they will modify the Constitution.” The Samajwadi Party leader mentioned that farmers’ predicaments have exacerbated under the BJP’s rule, with over one lakh farmers having taken their lives in the past decade.
Yadav additionally stated that his party has announced plans for the impoverished to not only receive their current rations but also be provided with carefully packaged nutritious flour to enhance their well-being. Furthermore, they will receive complimentary mobile data, he added. In Aligarh, voting is scheduled for the second phase on April 26, while Hathras will vote in the third phase on May 7.
