Within an X (formerly recognized as Twitter) post, LAC urged its policyholders and the public to exercise vigilance, verifying the authenticity of any such promotions. “We’ve noted with concern the participation of certain persons/entities in deceptive promotional activities across various social media channels, improperly leveraging the images of our senior official/s or ex-officials, our trademark, and our distinguished name without our official consent.
We find it imperative to forewarn the public concerning such artful activities,” LAC conveyed through an official public advisory. They encouraged the populace to report the URLs of these deceptive promotions through LAC’s authorized social media channels.
“We shall pursue requisite legal recourse against those involved in deceitful activities utilizing our brand without due permission,” LAC affirmed, asserting their unwavering commitment to safeguarding policyholders and the public from being misinformed by such deceptive promotional strategies.
