Amidst the political fervor, the actress-turned-politician and BJP contender from Mandi, Kangna Ranawat, evoked her ‘Rajput dignity’ to resonate with the emotions of voters during a rally endorsing Union Jal Shakti minister and two-time Jodhpur MP, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
In a discourse interlaced with contentious expressions, Kangna, who orchestrated a procession in the Chaupasni Housing Board locality on Tuesday, accentuated the sentiments of Rajputs, stressing that the community must cast their votes with the memory of the incident involving Kanhaiya Lal, the tailor who was decapitated at his shop by two individuals, fresh in their minds.
“You all should cast your votes to aid the BJP in achieving the ambitious goal of 400 seats and fortifying the position of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Before casting your ballots, reflect on the plight of the person whose cranium was severed from his body,” remarked Kangna.
Continuing, Ranawat asserted, “Regardless of where a Kshatriya resides in India, they belong to Rajasthan. I am your progeny and sibling. The venal Congress coalition administration in Mumbai razed my abode, defamed my reputation, and impugned my character. Let us stand as one and triumph over the Congress nominee in Jodhpur,” she proclaimed amidst the resounding chants of Jai Shree Ram.
She also took aim at the Congress for belittling the valor of armed forces who valiantly lay down their lives in defense of the nation. “The Congress holds no esteem for our valiant soldiers. The party is hostile towards those who live and perish for the nation. How dare they impugn the valor of soldiers, who are making the ultimate sacrifices for the nation? I implore you to cast your votes against their nominees,” she further added.
Ranawat campaigned for Shekhawat, who was unable to participate in the procession. Accompanying her were Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi and Shekhawat’s two daughters.
Kangna also orchestrated a procession with BJP aspirant Preeti Chaudhary in Pali during the evening. Tomorrow, she is slated to hold a rally in support of BJP candidate Kailash Choudhary in Jaisalmer, followed by another in Barmer.
