The National Testing Agency (NTA) unveiled the outcomes of the JEE Mains 2024 session 2, the assessment for gaining entry into undergraduate engineering programs, on Wednesday evening. In an unprecedented occurrence, a total of 56 examinees (comprising 2 female participants) attained a flawless NTA rating in the examination.
The minimum qualifying percentile for JEE (Advanced), the assessment for securing admission to the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), soared to a peak not witnessed in the last five years. While 23 individuals in the JEE (Main) January session secured a perfect NTA rating, the count escalated to 33 candidates in the April session.
Among the cohort of 56 top performers, 40 hailed from the General classification, 10 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) division, and 6 from the Gen-EWS segment. Notably, no candidate categorized under SC or ST achieved a perfect NTA score in the current year.
