In Kota, Rajasthan, Om Birla, the Lok Sabha Speaker and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contender from Kota, exercised his suffrage at a school situated in the Shakti Nagar locality on Friday amidst the second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha electoral process.
Subsequent to his voting, Birla urged all to endorse a “determined governance.” In his discourse with journalists, Birla articulated, “I extend an entreaty to all constituents of the Kota-Bundi constituency to elect a resolute leader and an undoubted administration. I solicit their well-wishes as a progeny and a sibling. I implore my electors to turn out in sizable numbers and cast their votes.”
In Kota, the Congress party has put forth Prahlad Gunjal as the adversary against Om Birla. Rajasthan is presently exercising their franchise on 13 seats during this second phase. The polling process for the remaining 13 out of the total 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan is currently in progress following an intense election campaign in the state.
Amongst the 152 aspirants contending in this leg, there are two ministers from the Union, the BJP’s provincial leader, and a former Speaker of the Assembly. Furthermore, the offspring of two former chief executives are also competing in this segment of the Lok Sabha elections.
Polling activities are ongoing at 28,758 polling stations commencing at 7 AM. Approximately 2.80 crore individuals are eligible to participate in the electoral process during the second phase. This marks the culmination of electoral proceedings for Rajasthan, where the initial phase of polling for 12 seats was conducted on April 19.
