In Mehdiganj region of Lucknow, an incident unfolded where nearly fifteen juveniles were taken unwell subsequent to ingesting laddus, as disclosed by local authorities on the day of Saturn. Medical professionals conveyed that nine of these juveniles are still undergoing medical care, albeit they are reported to be in a condition of stability.
The total of fifteen juveniles were admitted to the Balrampur Hospital during the prior evening, subsequent to experiencing abdominal discomfort and bouts of vomiting. It has come to light that the distribution of laddus took place in the locality to commemorate the birth of a female offspring at the domicile of a certain Sahana.
Following the ingestion of the laddus, a majority of the juveniles from the vicinity began experiencing episodes of vomiting and diarrhea, necessitating immediate transportation to the medical facility.
Dr. NB Singh, who holds the position of Chief Medical Superintendent at Balrampur Hospital, conveyed that the health condition of the fifteen juveniles from the Mehdiganj locality had substantially deteriorated, leading to their admission to the emergency ward. Their relatives conveyed that all of them had partaken in the consumption of laddus. Subsequent investigations revealed that all the juveniles were afflicted with gastric infection.
Shailendra Kumar, the parent of thirteen-year-old Adarsh, divulged that laddus were distributed within the neighborhood, resulting in the illness of a majority of the juveniles who partook. “This is unequivocally the responsibility of the purveyor. A formal complaint has been registered against the establishment at the local police station. Furthermore, a written grievance has been lodged with the Department of Food and Safety,” he articulated.
