Addressing reporters, the septuagenarian stalwart of the Congress party articulated, “This electoral bout constitutes my denouement, yet my fervor for political engagement endures. My commitment to ameliorating the populace’s predicaments remains unwavering. It is now incumbent upon the youthful aspirants to assume the mantle.” Singh, who has been hinting at his withdrawal from the political arena, definitively affirmed today that he shall abstain from future electoral contests.
Singh, contesting from the Rajgarh constituency under the Congress banner, levied allegations of procedural irregularities rampant in various precincts within the constituency. He decried the stringent perimeter enforcement barring their proximity to the polling stations, juxtaposed with the conspicuous presence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) affiliates flaunting images of Ram Lalla on the premises. Singh promptly lodged a formal complaint with the Election Commission regarding these discrepancies.
