The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) prognosticated on Friday that heat wave circumstances are anticipated to persist in isolated enclaves across West Rajasthan on May 10 while sultry and muggy climatic conditions would affect coastal regions of Gujarat until May 14.
As numerous locales of the nation are grappling with the blazing heat amidst the pivotal 18th Lok Sabha elections, the meteorological bureau in its most recent communique stated that there would be an escalation in maximum temperatures by approximately 2-4°Celsius across central India over the ensuing 4-5 days but there would be no notable alteration in maximum temperatures across other regions of the country.
Regarding the national capital Delhi, which has encountered elevated temperatures in recent days with May 5 witnessing the most sweltering day thus far, the meteorological bureau asserted that Delhi is poised to receive slight precipitation during the nocturnal hours on Friday. The maximal temperature is anticipated to linger around 40 degrees Celsius and the minimal temperature around 27 degrees Celsius during the diurnal period.
According to IMD’s latest meteorological bulletin, “A cyclonic circulation is situated over northeast Assam, another cyclonic circulation is positioned over east Bangladesh and a trough extends from east Assam to north Odisha in lower tropospheric levels.”
As a consequence of this atmospheric phenomenon, IMD prognosticates fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate precipitation accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squally winds (40-50 kmph) across West Bengal & Sikkim during May 10-12, scattered to fairly widespread precipitation accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning & gusty winds (40-50 kmph) across Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha during May 10-12.
