In the city of Srinagar, the State Investigation Agency initiated raids at numerous locations across three southern Kashmir districts as part of an inquiry into the terror-related killing of an individual from Bihar in Anantnag district. The SIA operatives conducted searches at 11 sites within Anantnag, Kulgam, and Shopian districts during the early hours of the day, according to sources.
“Conducted by the SIA, these searches are linked to the ongoing investigation of case FIR No 87/2024 of PS Bijbehara, which concerns the homicide of Raja Sah, a non-local vendor, on April 17, 2024, at Jablipota, Bijbehara, aimed at uncovering a wider criminal conspiracy surrounding the incident,” they stated.
Throughout the searches, various items, such as mobile phones, electronic devices, and documents pertinent to the ongoing inquiry, were confiscated. The seized materials will undergo forensic scrutiny and analysis as part of the investigation into the case, officials further added.
