In Madhubani, Bihar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a declaration on Thursday regarding the plans of the INDIA coalition concerning the rotational scheme for the position of Prime Minister in the event of securing power.
Speaking at a campaign rally in the Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, the esteemed BJP figure emphasized the necessity for a robust premier, opposing the notion of an annual rotation.
“The constituents of the INDIA coalition lack a definitive candidate for the PM role. The nation has mandated a third term for Modi ji. However, can anyone identify the prospective PM candidate from the INDIA coalition? Despite their vehement pursuit of power, the question remains… Will it be Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, or Lalu Prasad?”
“They have resolved to take turns occupying the PM’s seat. I must emphasize that governing a nation is not akin to managing a corner shop. In the face of a crisis like the COVID pandemic, can they safeguard the nation? Will they possess the capability to shield the nation from terrorist threats? India necessitates a resolute PM, not one subject to annual rotation,” he articulated.
Asserting that the northern region of Bihar had previously grappled with issues like cattle smuggling, he remarked, “The NDA administration staunchly opposes cow slaughter… It shall not be condoned under any circumstance.” Commenting on the government’s decision to proscribe the Popular Front of India (PFI), Shah contended, “It was a judicious move as the PFI aspired to transform the nation into an Islamic state.”
