In the bustling streets of New Delhi, the “political enforcer” is maneuvering to extricate himself, as revealed by AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Friday, following the emergence of purported CCTV footage from the official residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Within the 52-second visual snippet, Maliwal engages in a verbal altercation with the security detail stationed at the chief minister’s abode.
The altercation stems from an alleged assault on Maliwal by Kejriwal’s associate, Bibhav Kumar, at the official gubernatorial quarters on Monday. The Delhi Police, responding promptly, initiated a First Information Report (FIR) on Thursday, with Kumar identified as a prime suspect. “Once again, the usual tactics are being employed by this political enforcer to safeguard his interests,” remarked Maliwal in a social media missive without explicitly mentioning any names.
“By orchestrating a social media blitz devoid of context, he anticipates absolution for his transgressions. Who documents an act of physical aggression? The authenticity of events shall be laid bare once scrutiny is applied to the CCTV recordings from both the premises and enclosed chambers,” she asserted. Within the purported footage, Maliwal can be heard intimating her intent to summon law enforcement personnel through the control room, affirming her resolve to await their arrival.
“I shall divulge all pertinent details. Permit me to confer with your DCP,” she articulates, cautioning the security personnel of potential ramifications should physical contact be initiated against her.
