Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, launched a scathing attack on Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, during a recent address to the press. Yadav criticized Kejriwal for aligning himself with the Congress, a party known for incarcerating its political adversaries. The MP Chief Minister rebuked Kejriwal’s assertion that the BJP would imprison opposition leaders if it secures a third term, labeling it as baseless.
Kejriwal, while campaigning in Bhiwandi, alleged that if the BJP assumes power on June 4, it would incarcerate prominent opposition figures like Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray. Yadav contested this claim, highlighting the Congress’s history of imprisoning dissenting voices during the Emergency era. He challenged Kejriwal to provide evidence of similar actions by the BJP.
Expanding his critique, Yadav accused the Congress of neglecting the significance of Lord Ram. He pointed out that Congress leaders refrained from visiting the Ram temple in Ayodhya, fearing backlash from their voter base. Additionally, he lambasted Uddhav Thackeray, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, for his political opportunism and urged him to apologize for deviating from his party’s traditional stance.
Yadav also accused the Congress of demeaning prominent figures like V D Savarkar and Dr BR Ambedkar. He highlighted the Congress’s historical opposition to Dr Ambedkar’s electoral victories and cited instances of Savarkar being imprisoned twice. Criticizing the Congress’s electoral promises, Yadav questioned the feasibility of their pledge to provide financial assistance to women under the ‘Mahalakshmi’ scheme.
In a bold assertion, Yadav proclaimed that during Prime Minister Modi’s third term, Lord Krishna’s divine favor would be evident. He emphasized the importance of discussing religious principles and questioned the alternative of embracing moral decadence.
