The Chief Executive of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, proclaimed on the day of rest that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a crusade dubbed “Operation Jhaadu” with the intent of quashing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), as the saffron faction perceives the AAP as a formidable adversary.
Delivering an oration to the party’s operatives and dignitaries preceding the AAP’s slated protest promenade towards the BJP’s central edifice in this metropolis, he intimated that more daunting trials loom on the horizon and urged the cadre to fortify themselves for such eventualities.
“The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is fraught with apprehension over the ascendency of the AAP. The party’s ascension has been meteoric. They have inaugurated ‘Operation Jhaadu’ to obliterate our party. In the ensuing period, our monetary reserves will be subjected to seizure, and we shall be rendered destitute since our abode will also be confiscated,” he articulated.
“More formidable trials await us. I implore you to gird yourselves for them. Recall that we have confronted myriad tribulations in the annals of yore. We are fortified by the benediction of Lord Hanuman and the Divine. Were it not for these fortifications, we would not have persevered through these hardships. Traverse the path of rectitude. We aspire to toil for the amelioration of society,” he enjoined upon them.
Kejriwal, who currently enjoys provisional reprieve in the case pertaining to the excise policy, had averred on the antecedent day that he and other AAP luminaries would converge upon the BJP’s central office on the 19th day of May “so that the premier can incarcerate whomever he deems fit.”
“We shall embark upon a peaceful procession to the BJP’s central office, and should the constabulary interdict our progress, we shall tarry at that juncture. We shall await for the passage of half an hour, and ascertain if they effectuate our apprehension. If they eschew such action, it shall constitute their discomfiture. You may incarcerate us en masse, and ascertain for yourselves whether the party flounders or flourishes,” he declared.
Reflecting on the period of his sojourn in Tihar Penitentiary, Kejriwal recounted his perusal of the Bhagavad Gita on two occasions and the Ramayan once. Security measures at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s central edifice in this city have been heightened by the Delhi Police. Additionally, the Delhi Traffic Police have disseminated a cautionary advisory: “In anticipation of the proposed demonstration by a political faction at DDU Marg Delhi, Traffic congestion is anticipated at DDU Marg, IP Marg, Minto Road, and Vikas Marg. DDU Marg may be sealed off to vehicular traffic between the hours of 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Kindly circumvent these thoroughfares and strategize your itinerary accordingly,” traffic authorities inscribed on X.
“As a precautionary measure, we have augmented security, and a commensurate contingent of law enforcement officers has been deployed, with the locale cordoned off,” expounded a senior law enforcement official. Addressing a press briefing on Saturday, CM Kejriwal proclaimed an odyssey to the BJP’s central office. He remarked, “You are cognizant of the relentless pursuit unleashed by these individuals against the AAP; they (BJP) are incarcerating our luminaries one after the other. They have incarcerated me, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh. Today, my Personal Assistant was incarcerated. They are avowing their intent to incarcerate Raghav Chaddha, who has freshly returned from London. They assert that Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi will also be incarcerated in the ensuing days.”
“I wish to convey to the Prime Minister that you are orchestrating this ‘Game of Incarceration’ by sequentially incarcerating individuals. At noon tomorrow, I shall arrive at the BJP headquarters accompanied by all our preeminent luminaries, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Members of Parliament (MPs), and all, You may incarcerate whomever you desire in one fell swoop. If you harbor the belief that you can extirpate the AAP by incarcerating its luminaries, you gravely misconstrue the fortitude of the Aam Aadmi Party. Endeavor to incarcerate them once, and behold,” CM Kejriwal asserted.
