This marks the second such occurrence involving an IndiGo flight within the preceding week. Specifically, on May 28, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi encountered a purported bomb threat. IndiGo flight 6E5314, plying the Chennai to Mumbai route, declared a state of full emergency on Saturday after the pilot alerted the Mumbai Air Traffic Control of a suspected bomb threat directed towards the aircraft, as per the source.
In affirmation of the alleged bomb threat concerning its Chennai to Mumbai flight, IndiGo, through a statement, acknowledged the incident. Upon touchdown in Mumbai, the crew diligently adhered to established protocols, guiding the aircraft to an isolation bay in accordance with security agency directives. All passengers safely evacuated the aircraft, which is presently undergoing meticulous inspection, the statement conveyed. Following the conclusion of all requisite security procedures, the aircraft shall be relocated to the terminal vicinity, it further stated.
