In the midst of the fervor surrounding the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, an unveiling of Lord Rama’s complete visage transpired on Friday, presenting an extraordinary spectacle. The countenance adorned with a smile emanates the modesty and saccharine essence of Lord Rama, while the tilak gracing his forehead signifies the emblem of Sanatan Dharma and regality.
The Divine Representation:
Crafted by the skilled hands of Arun Yogiraj from Mysore, the statue stands at an imposing height of 51 inches. Hewn from obsidian-hued stone, it portrays Lord Ram in his juvenile form, a five-year-old figure standing atop a lotus. Images of this divine creation have proliferated across the digital realm, with netizens resonating in unison with chants of ‘Jai Shree Ram’.
Preceding this, on the 17th of January, the effigy of Lord Rama found its resting place within the innermost sanctum of the Ram Mandir. A ceremonial puja graced the idol’s arrival, and on the ensuing day, the 18th of January (Thursday), the consecration transpired. Initial glimpses of Ramlala depicted the deity with veiled eyes beneath a saffron-hued fabric, a portrayal that persisted until a few hours prior to the eventual unveiling of his countenance.
The Sacred Observances:
The sacred rites for Lord Rama commenced on the 16th of January at the Ram Mandir, continuing through the 21st of the same month. Essential rituals integral to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla’s idol are slated for the 22nd of January, as conveyed by trust officials, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi assuming the role of the principal ‘yajman.’ Further, the oversight of the ritual proceedings involves the guidance of 121 ‘Acharyas.’
The consecration proceedings for the Ram Mandir will initiate at precisely 12:20 PM on the 22nd of January, concluding at 1:00 PM. The anticipated gathering on this auspicious day comprises over 7000 attendees, encompassing figures from the realms of celebrity, business, sports, politics, and beyond.
