In the city of Lucknow, situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the local police apprehended the fourth suspect, Fukran, hailing from Lakhimpur Kheri. This individual had strategic plans to make a getaway to Nepal after being implicated in the grim act of contributing to the demise of three individuals entangled in a land dispute. The tragic triple homicide unfolded in broad daylight in Mahilabad last Friday, leaving a chilling imprint on the community. Intel suggests that Fukran’s escape plot was thwarted, leading to his capture.
Insider accounts reveal that Lallan Khan, also known as Siraj, and his offspring Faraz were taken into custody on the subsequent Sunday in connection to the killings of Muneer Khan (54), his nephew Hanzal (17), and Hanzal’s mother Farheen (40). The trio resided in the Mohammed Nagar neighborhood of Malihabad. Another perpetrator was apprehended promptly after the incident on Friday, as verified by law enforcement.
Official reports from the police verify the familial ties between the accused and the victims. Tensions escalated on that fateful Friday during a heated argument over land measurements, conducted in the presence of the lekhpal, the official responsible for maintaining land records. The altercation culminated in the father-son duo resorting to gunfire, resulting in injuries to five individuals.
The wounded were swiftly transported to a medical facility, where medical professionals, regrettably, declared Khan, Farheen, and her son Hanzal deceased. Rahul Raj, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lucknow West, disclosed that the police received actionable intelligence about the suspects hiding in Moradabad, particularly in the residence of a politically connected figure. Subsequently, a dedicated team was dispatched to apprehend them.
Virendra Vikram, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Malihabad, disclosed that both Lallan and Faraz openly admitted to committing the heinous act fueled by intense anger. Notably, Lallan has accumulated a substantial criminal record, with 18 charges filed against him in Hardoi and Lucknow, marking him as a notorious repeat offender.
