In Noida, a demise befell a twelfth-grade scholar who purportedly leaped from the 22nd story of a structure within a collective residential community in Noida Extension, mere hours subsequent to undertaking the board examination on Thursday, according to law enforcement.
Although the precise motive for this extreme measure remains to be determined, authorities mentioned that the student, approximately 19 years of age, encountered academic setbacks last year as well. “Around 4.20 pm today, local officials from the Bisrakh police station received notification of the student’s demise at the Mahagun Mywoods society. The police contingent swiftly proceeded to the location, accompanied by forensic specialists,” relayed a police spokesperson.
“The parents of the student were also present, disclosing to the authorities that their progeny had returned home after completing the English Core examination for twelfth grade today. Upon reaching home, he ascended to perch on the terrace of the edifice on the 22nd floor. The family conveyed to the police that he had faced academic challenges in clearing the twelfth-grade examination last year as well,” the spokesperson articulated.
Further judicial processes pertaining to the incident were in progress, as indicated by the police. Professionals in mental health assert that suicides are preventable if initial observers such as parents, siblings, spouses, or friends discern alterations in an individual’s behavior and engage in conversations aimed at dispelling self-esteem uncertainties.
