In Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident unfolded as a familial trio succumbed, and another individual endured injuries following a vehicular collision with a median on the Purvanchal Expressway near Seur village, within the jurisdiction of the Kurebhar police station on a fateful Friday morning, as reported by the authorities.
The unfortunate victims have been identified as Chandra Gupta (55), Maya Devi (52), and Chinta Devi (51). Upon receiving notification, law enforcement promptly arrived at the scene, initiating a comprehensive inquiry. Subsequently, the injured party, recognized as Vikas (30), was transported to the Government Medical College Sultanpur via an ambulance.
The circumstances surrounding the incident suggest that the vehicle was en route from Lucknow to Bihar. Sources indicate that this family, originating from Arrah in Bihar, had undertaken a journey to Ballabhgarh, Haryana, to partake in a matrimonial celebration. Regrettably, the return journey from the festivities resulted in a collision with the divider, attributed to excessive speed.
Amit Kumar Mishra, the Station Officer at Kurebhar Police Station, remarked, “Three individuals traveling in the vehicle met their demise at the scene. A thorough investigation is currently in progress.”
In a preceding event, a tragic road mishap unfolded between Manganakoppa and Beedi village in the Khanapur taluk of Belagavi district, Karnataka, claiming six lives and inflicting injuries upon four others.
The departed, residents of Langoti Galli in Dharwad city, were identified as Shahrukh Pendari (30), the driver, Iqbal Jamadar (50), Sania Langoti (37), Umra Begum Langoti (17), Shabanama Langoti (37), and Paran Langoti (13). The injured parties were recognized as Farath Betageri (18), Sophia Langoti (22), Sania Iqbal Jamadar (36), and Mohin Langoti (7). The incident left the community bereaved and grappling with the aftermath.
