The Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG, slated for May 15-31 in a hybrid modality, will unfold across two or three shifts per diem. The outcome of this significant examination for undergraduate program admission is anticipated to be disclosed on June 30, as declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday.
This critical evaluation for securing admission to undergraduate programs will unfold in 13 languages, spanning 380 urban centers, including 26 overseas locales. The initiation of the application process transpired on Tuesday and is poised to culminate on March 26.
“For the Academic Session 2024-25, CUET (UG) 2024 shall transpire in the hybrid mode. The determination of adopting a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or adhering to pen-and-paper mode is vested with NTA, contingent upon a myriad of factors,” elucidated a distinguished NTA representative.
Inaugurated in 2022, CUET (UG) stands as a singular portal for aspirants eying admission into any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating entities, encompassing state universities, deemed institutions, and private universities nationwide.
This examination, conducted in 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, extends the liberty for candidates to select a maximum of six subjects, a departure from prior editions where they could partake in up to 10 subjects. “The examination will unfold across multiple days, featuring two or three shifts, contingent on the candidate count and subject preferences,” the official explicated.
