In the bustling metropolis of New Delhi, John Chambers, the Chairman of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), expressed his profound admiration for the esteemed Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, hailing him as the “preeminent global leader of our time.” The former luminary in the tech realm, Chambers, underscored Prime Minister Modi’s exceptional 76% approval rating, marveling at his unparalleled acumen for instilling trust.
“When considering your prime minister, and let me make it clear, I am an ardent enthusiast. In my estimation, he stands as the foremost leader on the world stage today. How I wish we could boast of such a figure in the United States. We currently lack a political luminary who commands an approval rating surpassing 50%, whereas Prime Minister Modi commands an impressive 76%,” Chambers articulated during an interview with a private media outlet.
Chambers further underscored the gravity of a leader’s historical accomplishments, interpersonal connections, and adeptness at fostering trust. He lauded PM Modi for cultivating associations with every political luminary in the United States, citing the Prime Minister’s prowess in engendering faith among the populace. “When contemplating a leader, one must delve into their historical accomplishments. It hinges on their relationships and the trust they inspire.
He has forged connections with every political figurehead we’ve had in the US. The populace has reposed their trust,” Chambers supplemented. The year 2022 marked the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between India and the US. The two nations enjoy a far-reaching global strategic partnership encompassing nearly every facet of human pursuit, propelled by shared democratic principles, alignment of interests on myriad issues, and robust people-to-people engagements.
In a preceding December pronouncement, Mukesh Aghi, President, and CEO of USISPF, declared that the diplomatic impetus garnered during the visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden laid the groundwork for a “tangible strategic roadmap” and pioneering initiatives across various domains between India and the US.
“The diplomatic momentum established during the visits of Prime Minister Modi and President Biden paved the way for a substantive strategic roadmap and fresh dialogues and initiatives spanning diverse arenas such as sustainable energy collaboration, education, space cooperation, semiconductors, quantum computing, drone technology, artificial intelligence, coupled with expedited collaborative endeavors like the manufacturing of GE F-414 jet engines in India, elevating India to the select group of nations with such manufacturing prowess,” Aghi expounded.
In June of the previous year, PM Modi embarked on a State visit to the US, responding to the invitation extended by US President Joe Biden. The Prime Minister also delivered an address to a joint assembly of Congress, followed by a State banquet at the venerable White House. Subsequently, President Biden reciprocated by journeying to India to partake in the G20 Summit under India’s esteemed Presidency.
