n the vibrant city of Dhanbad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled an array of transformative initiatives amounting to a staggering Rs 35,700 crore on Friday. These initiatives, strategically directed towards bolstering the fertilizer, rail, power, and coal sectors in Jharkhand, mark a significant stride in the region’s development.
Sources reveal that the Prime Minister, arriving by helicopter, graced the Hindustan Urvarak Rasayan Limited factory premises nestled in Sindri. Subsequently, he inaugurated the fertilizer manufacturing facility, a colossal endeavor completed at an approximate expenditure of Rs 9 thousand crores. In addition to this, PM Modi ceremoniously laid the cornerstone for various undertakings within the Dhanbad Railway Division, collectively valued at around Rs 17,600 crore in Jharkhand.
These ventures encompass the development of the third and fourth railway lines linking Sone Nagar and Andal, the initiation of the Tori-Shivpur’s primary and secondary railway lines, and the Biratoli-Shivpur’s tertiary railway line—a pivotal component of the expansive Tori-Shivpur Project. Furthermore, the Mohanpur-Hansdiha novel rail route and the Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line are integral components of this ambitious initiative. The cumulative effect of these endeavors is poised to extend railway services within the state, fostering socio-economic growth in the region.
Notably, the Prime Minister also heralded the commencement of the Deoghar-Dibrugarh weekly train service—a momentous occasion as it marks the inaugural journey on the freshly laid Deoghar-Godda railway line.
This moment of infrastructural triumph includes not only the Deoghar-Dibrugarh train expedition but also the initiation of the MEMU train service linking Tatanagar and Badampahar on a daily basis. Additionally, the commencement of the long-haul freight train departing from the Shivpur station adds another layer of significance to these groundbreaking developments.
Nevertheless, it’s imperative to mention that the Prime Minister is scheduled for an extensive two-day tour across Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar on March 1 and 2, further underlining the government’s commitment to fostering progress and connectivity in the region.
