In the precincts of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, a grievous incident unfolded as a maiden, who partook in the floral revelry of a nuptial ceremony, fell prey to the heinous act of dual perpetration. This nefarious occurrence transpired within the confines of a guest house in the Hathras Junction Kotwali area, where two malefactors, operating in the capacity of culinary artisans amid the wedding festivities, allegedly subjected the aforementioned damsel to an abhorrent episode of gang-rape.
The sequence of events unraveled on the night of March 2, wherein a young lady hailing from Aligarh graced a guest house nestled in Salempur of Kotwali Hathras Junction. Her participation extended to the scattering of floral confetti in the ceremonial milieu. Regrettably, Pushpendra and Sumit, the accused who plied their culinary expertise in the preparation of ‘rotis’ (a variant of Indian flatbread) during the matrimonial gala, purportedly commandeered her on a motorized vehicle.
However, the trajectory of their journey took a sinister turn as the duo allegedly diverted the victim towards a proximate field, where they subjected her to a harrowing ordeal of sequential violation. Miraculously, the distraught victim managed to traverse the distance back to her residence, where she imparted the grim details of her torment to her kin, setting the wheels of justice in motion.
Hathras Junction in-charge Vijay Singh elucidated the unfolding events, asserting that legal recourse has been invoked under the pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code against the accused duo. The survivor has been promptly dispatched for medical evaluation. Singh further delineated, “The accused absconded from the scene, prompting an active pursuit. It is anticipated that the culprits will imminently be apprehended and brought to face the jurisdiction of the local court,” affirmed the vigilant police official.
