In the aftermath of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s unveiling of its initial roster of 195 contenders for the imminent Lok Sabha Polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging a 10 percent surge in voting support, is set to embark on visits to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar. PM Modi’s focus primarily revolves around consolidating the BJP’s backing in states currently under the governance of opposing political entities.
Scheduled for March 4-6, his agenda entails the inauguration and foundation-laying of projects valued at over Rs 110,600 crore. Modi conveyed, “Over the forthcoming two days, I will participate in diverse events across Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal. The developmental initiatives set to commence span a broad spectrum of sectors, promising transformative impacts on numerous lives,” as expressed in a post on X.
On March 4, around 10:30 am, the prime minister will officially open, dedicate, and lay the foundation for multiple developmental initiatives, amassing a cumulative value exceeding Rs 56,000 crore in Adilabad, Telangana, as communicated by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Subsequently, at approximately 3:30 pm, Modi is slated to tour BHAVINI in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu.
Moving on to March 5, around 11 am, Prime Minister Modi will launch, dedicate, and lay foundations for assorted development projects worth Rs 6,800 crore in Sangareddy, Telangana. Later in the day, at 3:30 pm, he will unveil and initiate projects valued at over Rs 19,600 crore in Chandikhole, Jajpur, Odisha.
March 6 brings a 10:15 am inauguration of multiple connectivity projects amounting to Rs 15,400 crore in Kolkata, followed by a 3:30 pm visit to Bettiah, Bihar, where he is set to open, dedicate, and lay foundations for diverse projects worth around Rs 12,800 crore.
In Adilabad, Telangana, during a public gathering, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundations for diverse ventures within the power, rail, and road sectors, collectively valued at more than Rs 56,000 crore. The primary emphasis will be on the power sector, elucidated by the PMO. Modi will embark on the inauguration, dedication to the nation, and foundation-laying of various power sector projects nationwide.
He will dedicate Telangana Super Thermal Power Project’s 800 MW (Unit-2) in Peddapalli, operating on Ultra-Supercritical Technology, promising an efficiency of approximately 42 percent, the highest among all NTPC power stations in India. Modi will also dedicate 660 MW (Unit-2) of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra, Jharkhand, distinguished as the country’s maiden Supercritical Thermal Power Project employing an air-cooled condenser, significantly reducing water consumption compared to traditional water-cooled condensers.
In addition to inaugurating various projects, Modi will mark the initiation of core loading for India’s indigenous Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, heralding a significant milestone in the nation’s nuclear power agenda.
Proceeding to Chandikhole, Odisha, the prime minister will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundations for diverse projects totaling over Rs 19,600 crore, spanning oil & gas, railways, roads, and atomic energy sectors.
In Kolkata, with a pronounced focus on augmenting urban mobility convenience, Modi is set to inaugurate multiple metro sections, including Howrah Maidan-Esplanade, Kavi Subhash-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, and Taratala-Majerhat. Additional projects across Pune, Kochi, Agra, and Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor will also be flagged off and marked by the prime minister. Furthermore, the extension of the Pune Metro Rail project phase 1 between Pimpri Chinchwad Metro-Nigdi will have its foundation stone laid.
