The ominous call, reaching the control hub on March 2, triggered the immediate filing of a First Information Report (FIR) at the Mahanagar police station against the unidentified caller. Collaboratively, the Special Task Force (STF), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and Lucknow Police have commenced an in-depth inquiry to apprehend the caller, employing sophisticated techniques to trace the origin via mobile phone tracking.
As per official accounts, Udham Singh, the head constable overseeing the control room at the police headquarters, received a call on the preceding Saturday. The mysterious caller conveyed a disconcerting message, prophesying an impending detonation targeting UP CM Yogi Adityanath. The head constable, poised with inquiries, found himself abruptly disconnected before extracting pertinent information.
Metropolitan Inspector Akhilesh Kumar Mishra elucidated that upon immediate receipt of the grievance, an expeditious case registration ensued, propelling an ongoing, thorough investigation.
The gravity of the threat has prompted heightened vigilance from security agencies, with concerted efforts from the STF and ATS deploying systematic searches.
