In the heart of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, BJP National President JP Nadda articulated on Thursday that beneath the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP-led Central government has earnestly endeavored to elevate the socio-economic status of individuals within the Scheduled Castes community.
JP Nadda castigated preceding administrations, asserting that while figures like Nehru and Indira Gandhi swiftly adorned themselves with the Bharat Ratna, the recognition of Dr Ambedkar remained dormant until the BJP government assumed control.
He accentuated that it was “during the reign of the Congress that Babasaheb was rightfully bestowed with the Bharat Ratna.”
“Contrary to the divisive slogans of the Congress, the BJP’s rallying cries pivot on inclusivity and universal development. Under the stewardship of Modi, substantial strides have been taken to empower our Scheduled Caste brethren, facilitating their seamless integration into the societal mainstream,” he expounded.
“Let the opposition embark on their ‘jail and bail yatra.’ Instead, nurture the blossoming lotus and propel India towards becoming the third-largest global economy,” he implored, rallying support for the BJP in the impending Lok Sabha elections.
Nadda delved into initiatives like the annulment of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, affording Scheduled Caste individuals the privilege to settle and partake in electoral processes there.
He highlighted PM Modi’s active endeavors to augment scholarships within the educational domain.
“Furthermore, hostels were erected with an outlay of Rs 173 crore to house students, with an annual influx of 20,000 beneficiaries receiving complimentary coaching. The Mudra Yojana has witnessed 18 per cent participation from Scheduled Caste individuals, heralding substantial advancement. A noteworthy 25 crore people have ascended above the poverty line, marking a momentous achievement,” he articulated.
JP Nadda reproached previous administrations, asserting that it was under their governance that Nehru and Indira Gandhi felicitously conferred the Bharat Ratna upon themselves, neglecting Dr Ambedkar until their term commenced.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath graced the same stage with him.
Chirag Paswan, the chief of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), also engaged in a discussion with BJP President JP Nadda regarding seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Simultaneously, the Bihar BJP convened its core group meeting at the residence of Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai to strategize for the imminent Lok Sabha polls.
