In the city of Ahmedabad, the incumbent Home Minister, Amit Shah, who stands for re-election from the Gandhinagar constituency in the upcoming parliamentary polls, imparted a crucial directive to the party faithful. He beseeched them not merely to advocate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but rather to champion the cause of Bharat, the nation, throughout their electoral endeavors.
Shah implored the cadre to fortify their rapport with the electorate, ensuring that each citizen opts for the lotus symbol on the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He instructed BJP workers to convey to voters that the electoral contest transcends partisan affiliations, emphasizing its paramount significance for the nation and underscoring its role in fostering India’s ascension to greatness.
Commencing his electoral campaign today, Shah commenced his day with devotions at the Bhidbhanjan Hanumanji Temple, situated on Gurukul Road in the Memnagar district of Ahmedabad. His arrival in Ahmedabad was marked yesterday evening.
Reflecting on his political journey, Shah reminisced about his inaugural foray into electoral politics 29 years ago from the same constituency. He recounted commencing his electoral odyssey by seeking blessings at the aforementioned Hanuman temple.
He underscored the BJP’s distinctiveness, highlighting his own trajectory from a grassroots party worker, engaged in pamphleteering and logistical support for party gatherings, to assuming the mantle of Home Minister and Party President.
Shah lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transformative leadership, attributing to him the upliftment of 60 crore individuals and the assurance of their security from both terrorism and illegal infiltrators. He extolled Modi’s prowess in accomplishing seemingly insurmountable tasks, such as the revocation of Article 370, which conferred special status upon Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing confidence in PM Modi’s leadership, Shah asserted that under his stewardship, India would ascend to the pinnacle of global prominence by August 15, 2047. He underscored that the parliamentary elections are not merely about electing representatives but about mobilizing every eligible voter to exercise their franchise. He urged party workers to engage with voters in a manner that leaves no individual disenfranchised.
Shah is slated to convene an electoral rally at the central party office, where he will be joined by officials and legislators representing the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
