Anticipating the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a fiery speech at a public gathering in Nagarkurnool, Telangana, on Saturday. Criticizing both the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS in Telangana, PM Modi accused them of crushing the aspirations of the state’s people. In his address, he remarked, “The dreams of Telangana lie shattered by Congress and BRS.”
During the rally, held just a day after the arrest of BRS leader and former CM K Kavitha’s daughter, PM Modi vowed, “No individual tainted with corruption will escape justice. Today, I pledge to the people of Telangana that corruption will find no refuge. Telangana’s solidarity is indispensable in our crusade against corruption.”
Lambasting Congress and BRS for their alleged involvement in corruption, PM Modi asserted that corruption thrives within dynastic parties. He accused both Congress and BRS of being complicit in corruption. PM Modi alleged that Congress was embroiled in the 2G scam, while BRS indulged in corrupt practices in irrigation projects. He asserted that both parties harbor the land mafia.
The PM further highlighted that over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty nationwide, emphasizing the need for similar transformation within the state. Even prior to the announcement of the election schedule, the people have expressed their verdict, with the NDA projected to secure over 400 seats, Modi added.
He went on to declare, “Today, I witness the resolve of the people of Telangana to reinstate Modi for the third term.” Challenging his opponents, especially Congress, Modi questioned whether the party had brought any tangible change to the lives of the underprivileged despite its ‘Garibi Hatao’ (eradicate poverty) slogan.
PM Modi is also scheduled to visit the hometown of Congress President Kharge, Kalaburagi, situated in Karnataka, on Saturday.
