Renowned vocalist Anuradha Paudwal, whose prominence blossomed during the 1980s and 1990s through her chart-topping melodies and spiritual compositions, officially aligned herself with the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) as she embraced party membership on Saturday, March 16, in the heart of New Delhi, preceding the imminent Lok Sabha elections.
Paudwal articulated her elation in affiliating with a governance entity that upholds a “profound alliance with Sanatan Dharma.” “I am jubilant to embark on this journey with a governmental body deeply rooted in Sanatan (Dharma). It is indeed serendipitous that my path intertwines with the BJP’s today,” she conveyed to the assembled press.
This consequential political maneuver transpired mere hours subsequent to the resignation of Ajay Pratap Singh, a BJP-affiliated Rajya Sabha representative hailing from Madhya Pradesh, who tendered his resignation from the party’s primary membership, citing his non-endorsement for a party nomination as the impetus.
Previously, Paudwal delivered a seminal Ram Bhajan during the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony held in Ayodhya on January 22.
