Regrettably, an aged duo perished subsequent to their dwelling being engulfed in flames amidst a dispute with the progenitors of their daughter-in-law, who purportedly took her own life, as per authorities disclosed here on Tuesday.
Furthermore, three individuals, inclusive of the spouse of the aforementioned woman, incurred injuries during the conflagration, as per their assertions.
As delineated by law enforcement, the 27-year-old female purportedly terminated her existence late on Monday evening at her in-laws’ abode within the Muthiganj precinct.
Upon being apprised of the development, her progenitors and other kinsfolk congregated at the scene, engaging in a confrontation with the in-laws of the woman, contending that she was slain prior to being hanged, as articulated by Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Deepak Bhukar.
In the midst of the altercation, certain individuals ignited the residence of the woman’s in-laws. Law enforcement extricated five individuals from the premises and alerted the fire department, which managed to quell the inferno, affirmed the police official.
Whilst scouring the charred domicile approximately at 3 am, the remains of the woman’s father-in-law Rajendra Kesarwani (65) and mother-in-law Shobha Devi (62) were discovered, relayed SHO of Muthiganj precinct Sunil Bajpayee.
The individuals who sustained injuries in the blaze encompassed the spouse of the woman, Rajendra’s offspring Shivani, and Lovely Kesarwani, the consort of his younger sibling, appended the SHO.
