Upon directive from the President, Andriy Yermak, the Chief of the Office of the President of Ukraine, engaged in a telephonic conversation with Ajit Kumar Doval, India’s National Security Advisor, to deliberate on the structure of the ongoing discourse, as stated by Ukraine’s Presidential office on Saturday.
Expressing gratitude, Yermak acknowledged Doval for the involvement of his subordinate in the fourth assembly of national security advisors and foreign policy advisors to the heads of state, centered on implementing the Peace Formula, convened in Davos this January.
During the conversation, the Chief of the Presidential Office elucidated on the groundwork for the inaugural Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, involving state leaders, and underscored the considerable backing for the initiative.
Yermak provided updates on the frontline situation, highlighting Ukraine’s achievements in countering Russia’s actions in the Black Sea and combating Russian aerial maneuvers, alongside efforts to fortify Ukraine’s defense industry.
Drawing attention to ongoing hostilities, Yermak noted the aggressor’s persistent assaults on Ukrainian territory, targeting civilian infrastructure through missile strikes and drone attacks.
In emphasizing the imperative for concerted action amidst ongoing strife, he remarked, “Concurrent with the valiant efforts of our defenders and populace, it is incumbent upon us to exhaust all diplomatic avenues to craft a unified strategy towards attaining enduring and equitable peace.” Both parties concurred on sustaining the dialogue and enhancing bilateral ties between Ukraine and India.
