Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended her felicitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on securing a third consecutive triumph in the Lok Sabha elections. She emphasized her confidence that both leaders will collaborate to fortify the camaraderie that intertwines their nations.
Prime Minister Meloni elaborated that Italy and India will engage in cooperative endeavors across a multitude of issues that connect the two countries, ultimately serving the welfare of their populations.

I am confident that we will persist in our efforts to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Italy and India and to enhance cooperation on various shared concerns, all for the benefit of our nations and people,” remarked Prime Minister Meloni in a message on X.
Earlier in the day, other global dignitaries also conveyed their enthusiastic congratulations to Prime Minister Modi and the BJP-led NDA administration on their third consecutive Lok Sabha election win. Leaders such as Nepal’s Prime Minister Pranchanda, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth extended their commendations to PM Modi.
The BJP-led NDA is on the verge of establishing its third successive administration at the Center, with the Lok Sabha election results delivering a verdict that also brought encouragement to the opposition INDIA bloc, which demonstrated a robust performance alongside Congress. The BJP-led NDA is anticipated to secure 291 seats, while the INDIA bloc is projected to win 234 seats, and other parties are likely to garner 18 seats.
The Lok Sabha contest proved to be more competitive than the exit polls had predicted, which had forecasted a sweeping victory for the NDA. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his evening address following the receipt of most results, affirmed that the BJP-led NDA will form its third consecutive government. He declared this victory as a testament to the resolve for a “Viksit Bharat,” the principle of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas,’ and the people’s unwavering faith in India’s Constitution.
Speaking at the party’s central headquarters, Prime Minister Modi noted that this marks the first occasion since 1962 where a government, having completed two full terms, has achieved a third consecutive mandate. He proclaimed that “new history” has been scripted after six decades.
