Shimla: The Mandi Lok Sabha constituency emerges as a focal point of national discourse as Bollywood luminary Kangana Ranawat ventures into the electoral arena on a BJP ticket, facing off against the formidable Vikramaditya Singh of Congress, bearing the royal lineage.

Today marked Kangana’s formal submission of her candidacy, while Vikramaditya had previously lodged his papers on May 9th. As per the disclosures within their affidavits, Kangana’s assets tally up to Rs 91.50 crore, whereas Vikramaditya’s holdings amount to Rs 100 crore.

Comparing this year to the previous, there’s a slight dip noted in Vikramaditya’s movable assets, sliding from Rs 6.97 crore in 2022 to Rs 6.21 crore, while his immovable estate shows a marginal uptick from Rs 90.33 to Rs 90.48 crore. It’s projected that with the inclusion of Vikramaditya’s familial property, his net worth will surpass the Rs 100 crore mark.

Vikramaditya boasts ownership of a Fortuner valued at Rs 17 lakh, an Endeavor priced at Rs 13.30 lakh, and an Ignis. Beyond that, he possesses 1785 grams of gold and 13.70 grams of diamonds, totaling to jewelry worth Rs 10 lakh. His property portfolio includes plots in Rampur and residential edifices in Sarahan, Rampur, and Shimla. Furthermore, he’s allocated over Rs 1.65 crore in the equity market.

Over the years, Vikramaditya’s earnings from agriculture and horticulture have seen an upward trajectory. Analyzing his income tax records spanning five years, in 2018-19, his agricultural income stood at over Rs 6.38 lakh, which escalated to more than Rs 16.88 lakh by 2021-22. This trend continued with earnings reaching Rs 19.55 lakh in 2019-20 and Rs 19.95 lakh in 2020-21.

Turning to the luminary of Bollywood, Kangana Ranawat, her combined movable and immovable assets surpass the Rs 91.50 crore mark. According to disclosures in her Election Commission affidavit, Kangana possesses Rs 2 lakh in liquid cash and Rs 1.37 crore in bank balance, alongside 6.7 kilograms of gold jewelry valued at Rs 5 crore. Additionally, she owns 60 kilograms of silver, valued at Rs 50 lakh, in the form of jewelry and utensils, along with diamond ornaments valued at Rs 3 crore.

Furthermore, Kangana holds several life insurance policies and stakes in the film ‘Manikarnika’. Her property holdings span across Mumbai, Manali, and Punjab, including a residence in Mumbai’s Pali Hill area valued at over Rs 21 crore, with a current market estimation exceeding Rs 23 crore. Her Manali abode is appraised at Rs 2.5 crore, while her Punjab property in Zirakpur is valued at Rs 2.43 crore.

Notably, Kangana also bears a liability of Rs 17.38 crore.
