Upon its inaugural day, Aadujeevitham- The Goat Life scripted cinematic annals. The saga of survival, featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, inaugurated triumphantly at the ticket counter, eclipsing prior benchmarks in initial day tallies. As per the reckonings of industry observer Sacnilk, the motion picture amassed Rs 7.45 crore across all Indian dialects on Thursday. Remarkably, it boasted formidable cinema hall occupancy rates, with Malayalam reigning supreme at 57.79 percent, trailed by Tamil (17.84 percent), Telugu (14.46 percent), Kannada (4.14 percent), and Hindi (4.14 percent).

Per preliminary assessments by Sacnilk, the Malayalam rendition garnered Rs 6.50 crore, while the Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi iterations contributed an additional Rs 1 crore to the film’s inaugural day revenue. Aadujeevitham has inaugurated its celluloid journey with one of the most auspicious starts for a Malayalam feature in India, accruing an all-India box office collection surpassing Rs 9 crore (official figures pending release). Buoyed by favorable word-of-mouth and critical acclaim, Aadujeevitham is poised for a robust opening weekend.

Should the film’s reception endure, the directorial opus of Blessy could metamorphose into yet another magnum opus from the Malayalam film fraternity, following in the footsteps of recent blockbusters like Bramayugam, Manjummel Boys, and Premalu. Eclipsing Premalu’s day one earnings of 0.9 crore, Aadujeevitham’s initial strides nearly double the Rs 3.3 crore opening of Manjummel Boys and surpass the 3.1-crore mark of Bramayugam.

In regard to the cinematic endeavor, Blessy helmed, scripted, and co-produced the adaptation of Benyamin’s eponymous 2008 literary sensation, inspired by real-life events. Collaborating alongside Blessy were Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams as co-producers, while AR Rahman orchestrated the original musical compositions and score.
