ADHD Diagnosis: Fahadh Faasil Opens Up

Kochi: Renowned thespian Fahadh Faasil, basking in the triumph of his latest cinematic endeavor Aavesham, unveiled a startling personal revelation—his diagnosis of Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at the age of 41. Speaking at an event in Kothamangalam, Kerala, specifically at the Peace Valley Children’s Village, Fahadh divulged his recent diagnosis and the ensuing discourse with a medical professional about ADHD.

During the event, which marked the inauguration of the Peace Valley Children’s Village, Fahadh articulated his intrigue regarding the malady’s curability, especially at a more advanced age. Recounting his exchange with the attending physician at the village, he revealed, “He mentioned that it is relatively straightforward to cure if identified in youth. I inquired whether it is remediable if diagnosed at 41. I am clinically ADHD diagnosed,” he disclosed.

On the professional front, Fahadh’s recent release, Aavesham, which graced theatres on April 11, has surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone globally, garnering widespread praise. Following its theatrical success, the film premiered on Prime Video to further commendation. Fahadh is now preparing for the release of Vettaiyan, alongside Rajinikanth, slated for an October release, and Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun, scheduled for an August 15 debut.

In addition to his current ventures, Fahadh has collaborated with director Jeethu Joseph of Drishyam fame and has a Tamil film, Maareesan, queued for his next project.
