In Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, law enforcement took action against Tollywood luminary Allu Arjun on the weekend for his visit to the abode of his intimate associate and YSRCP MLA Silpa Ravi, precipitating a substantial throng on the thoroughfare. Silpa Ravi, vying for reappointment from Nandyal as the state gears up for elections encompassing Andhra Pradesh’s 25 Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13, encountered a predicament when a legal claim was made against the Pushpa luminary and the YSRCP contender subsequent to his call on the MLA’s dwelling sans prior authorization from the electoral returning officer.
On the conclusive day of canvassing, Allu Arjun ventured to the MLA’s domicile to express his backing. Upon word spreading of his presence, a sizable assembly congregated outside the MLA’s abode, eager to catch a glimpse of their beloved star. Allu, alongside his consort Sneha Reddy, Silpa Ravi, and other kinfolk, ascended to the balcony to engage with the multitude resonating with chants of ‘Pushpa, Pushpa’. Silpa Ravi, also recognized as Singareddy Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, is seeking reelection as the incumbent party’s representative in the elections slated for May 13.
The indictment was lodged at the nearby Two Town police precinct under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (Violation of an injunction legitimately disseminated by a public functionary). With Section 144 of the Election Code and Section 31 of the AP Police Act in force, charges were levied against the luminary and the legislator. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun took to social media, lauding the denizens of Nandyal for their genial reception and extending gratitude to Silpa Ravi for her hospitality. “I extend my sincerest wishes for the elections and the future. You have my steadfast affection and support,” he inscribed on X.
Silpa Ravi also posted a video of Allu Arjun acknowledging the crowd on X, commending the luminary for gracing Nandyal with his presence to extend felicitations for the upcoming elections. “Your unwavering solidarity means the world to me, and I am profoundly thankful for our camaraderie,” expressed the legislator.
