Ajay Devgn readies himself for a jam-packed year, commencing with the debut of “Shaitaan” on March 8. This Hindi rendition of the Gujarati cinematic piece “Vash” stars R Madhavan, Jyotika, and Janki Bodiwala, the latter reprising her role from the original.

In anticipation of its release, the creators of “Shaitaan” initiated the pre-booking phase, witnessing the film swiftly surpass the Rs 1 crore mark in pre-sales. As per the observations by industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie experienced an impressive 60% surge in collections within the past 24 hours, incorporating 1000 new showings, culminating in a total of 5656 screenings and a collection of Rs 1.15 crore in India.

Sporting a theme steeped in horror, “Shaitaan” has captured the interest of aficionados of the original piece, earning accolades as one of the most spine-chilling films. The recently unveiled trailer of “Shaitaan” has already amassed an impressive 8 million views on YouTube, providing a glimpse into a family’s unnerving weekend encounter with an enigmatic stranger.

As the trailer unfolds its narrative, viewers are privy to Ajay’s familial entourage, which includes his wife portrayed by Jyotika and their children, arriving at a residence for a weekend retreat. Madhavan’s entry into the scene triggers a sequence of disconcerting events, as he appears to cast a spell on Ajay’s daughter, compelling her to engage in shocking acts.

As the tension heightens, Madhavan unveils his influence over Ajay’s daughter, steadfastly refusing to vacate the premises.
