Indian artist Kiara Advani is slated to grace the Women in Cinema Gala at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024 as an ambassador for India, as outlined in a recent publication. The 77th Cannes Film Festival commences today in Cannes, France (15th May in India). A plethora of Indian cinematic works are slated for presentation across various venues, and now Bollywood luminary Kiara Advani is reportedly set to make her presence felt at the festival.
As per a report in a prominent media outlet, Kiara Advani, acting as a representative for India, will be accorded the esteemed position of guest of honor at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala Dinner. The hosting duties for the event in Cannes will be undertaken by the prestigious Vanity Fair. Six distinguished women from across the globe will converge for this occasion, which seeks to pay tribute to their accomplishments within the entertainment sphere.
Moreover, according to the aforementioned report, there are slated to be four discussion panels at the Cannes Film Festival deliberating on international incentives and the art of filmmaking. These deliberations are scheduled to transpire at La Plage Des Palmes on May 18, 2024. Kiara is set to participate in one such panel at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
Joining Kiara on the panel at the Red Sea International Film Festival will be the likes of actor Adhwa Fahad, actor and vocalist Aseel Omran, actress and fashion model Salma Abu Deif, actor, model, and vocalist Sarocha Chankimha (Freen), and filmmaker and scriptwriter Ramata ToulayeSy. The 77th iteration of the Cannes Film Festival is slated to commence on May 14 and will run through May 25.
