Embracing the essence of a commoner, Mithun arrived well ahead of the commencement of voting at 7 AM, patiently queuing up amidst the throng, and conscientiously cast his ballot at a polling booth nestled in Kolkata’s Belgachia. In the preceding February, the veteran actor found himself under the care of a private medical facility in Kolkata, grappling with symptoms indicative of an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident. Despite his advanced age and health setbacks, the megastar, a staunch supporter of the BJP, fervently rallied crowds in spirited campaigns across West Bengal, rallying unwavering support for the party’s cause.
Engaging with the press, he remarked, “I stand as a steadfast BJP member, having discharged my civic duty. Tomorrow shall herald discussions of cinema, for I am obligated to provide for my kin.” Concurrently, the electoral process unfolds across nine constituencies in West Bengal, encompassing Barasat, Basirhat, Diamond Harbour, Dum Dum, Jaynagar, Jadavpur, Kolkata Dakshin, Kolkata Uttar, and Mathurapur.
