In the realm of box office dynamics, the curtain lifted for Crakk, showcasing Yami Gautam’s Article 370, a cinematic piece lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during one of his addresses. Yami’s opus has amassed a staggering Rs 30 crore and counting, while Crakk, on the flip side, witnesses a stark descent in figures, signaling a disconnect with the audience.
In recent days, the collaborative effort featuring Yami Gautam and Priyamani has maintained a respectable stance on Indian soil. As per the discerning eyes of industry tracker Sacnilk, Article 370 yielded a nett revenue of approximately Rs 3.1 crore on the midweek. The directorial finesse of Aditya Suhas Jambhale finds support in the production endeavors of Yami’s spouse, Aditya Dhar.
The virtual ledgers suggest that Article 370 amassed about Rs 32.55 crore nett in India over its hexaday theatrical journey. Day two witnessed a surge of 25.42 percent, scaling the heights of Rs 7.4 crore nett, a leap from the inaugural Rs 5.9 crore. The subsequent days, numbered 3, 4, and 5, contributed Rs 9.6 crore, Rs 3.25 crore, and Rs 3.3 crore nett to the Indian coffers.
In the celluloid narrative, Yami Gautam dons the persona of Zooni Haksar, an intellect operative. Against the picturesque tapestry of Jammu and Kashmir, the film unfurls the saga of the historical retraction of Article 370, ushering in the annulment of distinct constitutional privileges to the erstwhile state.
In contrast, Vidyut Jamwal’s Crakk: Jeetega… Toh Jiyegaa undergoes a precipitous drop in its domestic box office revenue on its inaugural Wednesday. Per Sacnilk’s dossier, the film, premiering on February 23, garners Rs 0.8 crore on its sextadal sojourn in the domestic arena, following an impressive Rs 4 crore on its genesis.
Crakk’s cumulative financial voyage after six days in cinema registers at Rs 11.5 crore. The directorial helm by Aditya Datt boasts an ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi, Amy Jackson, Ankit Mohan, Jamie Lever, Bijay Anand, and Rajendra Shisatkar. Crakk marks Vidyut’s second collaboration with Aditya, their previous endeavor being the 2019 film Commando 3.
The tale woven in Crakk narrates a man’s odyssey from the squalors of Mumbai’s slums “to the realm of extreme subterranean sports.” Produced by Vidyut Jammwal, Parag Sanghvi, Action Hero Films, and Team, with Adi Sharmaa and Aditya Chowksey as co-producers, Crakk embarks on a distinctive narrative trajectory.
