Filmmaker Sekhar Kammula’s eagerly awaited cinematic endeavor Kubera, featuring Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna, promises to be a monumental undertaking in the year 2024. The recent communication from the film’s creators has ignited fervent speculation among enthusiasts. Yet, the creators have clarified that the communication wasn’t a trailer, but rather a harbinger of the excitement that lies ahead.

Communicating via the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday, the creators articulated, “It’s not the TEASER! But let’s ready our applause for his ascendancy. SEKHAR KAMMULA’S #KUBERA.” Previously, they unveiled a fresh promotional poster accompanied by a statement proclaiming, “Prepared & Primed for a monumental thunderstrike. Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera is poised to disrupt the scorching heatwave on May 2nd.”

Reports indicate that the narrative unfolds in Mumbai’s Dharavi, with Dhanush portraying a destitute individual who ascends to the echelons of a formidable underworld figure. The movie flaunts an illustrious ensemble cast, featuring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil, with Suniel Narang at the helm of production under the Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP banner. Devi Sri Prasad is orchestrating the film’s musical landscape.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is gearing up for his directorial debut Raayan, a riveting thriller boasting an exceptional cast. Additionally, he is slated to headline the biographical film Ilaiyaraaja, helmed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Connekkt Media, PK Prime Production, and Mercuri Movies. The project will feature musical compositions by the esteemed maestro himself.

On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna is primed for her forthcoming action-packed venture, Pushpa: The Rule, alongside Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. The movie features a galaxy of stars, including Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Sunil, among others. Furthermore, the actress is preparing to grace the screens in Rahul Ravindran’s enigmatic thriller The Girlfriend alongside Dheekshith Shetty.
