Anushka Sharma recently took to the digital realm to share a profoundly touching Father’s Day homage dedicated to her husband, Virat Kohli. She lauded Virat’s multifaceted abilities and the numerous roles he impeccably balances in his life. The duo proudly parents their daughter, Vamika, and son, Akaay.
In her emotive Father’s Day message, Anushka penned, “How can one individual excel in so many endeavors! Astonishing… we ADORE YOU @virat.kohli..” Accompanying her heartfelt words was an image of a paper sheet adorned with tiny footprints, presumably those of their delightful offspring, Vamika and Akaay, with the message “Happy Father’s Day.”
Virat and Anushka solemnized their union on December 11, 2017, in the picturesque locales of Italy. They welcomed Vamika into their lives on January 11, 2021, and endeavored to keep their second pregnancy discreet amidst the relentless scrutiny of the media.
On February 15 of this year, the couple exuberantly announced the arrival of their son Akaay, whom they welcomed in London. Sharing their elation, Anushka and Virat conveyed on social media, “With overflowing joy and our hearts brimming with love, we are thrilled to announce that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay, Vamika’s little brother, into this world. We seek your blessings and well-wishes during this beautiful chapter of our lives. We kindly request you to respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude, Virat & Anushka.”
Virat has previously characterized parenthood as an “enchanting” and treasured experience. Reflecting on the period spent away from the public eye during Akaay’s birth, he emphasized the significance of that intimate time with his family. “We were not in the country. We were at a place where people did not recognize us. Just time together as a family, to feel normal for two months,” Virat disclosed during a post-match presentation. “For me, for us as a family, it was a surreal experience.”
Turning to Anushka, the actress eagerly anticipates the release of her forthcoming film, Chakada Xpress, which is set to premiere on Netflix. However, the release of the film remains uncertain due to reported differences between the filmmakers and the OTT platform.
