The much-awaited cinematic offering of 2024, “Fighter,” helmed by Siddharth Anand, finally graced theaters on January 25. The year commenced on a promising note with the release of this film starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. However, the commercial reception at the box office appears to have hit a snag.

‘Fighter’ faced a pivotal trial on its inaugural Monday following a rather lackluster beginning despite a commendable extended weekend. As per preliminary estimates from industry monitor Sacnilk, the high-flying action spectacle featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone garnered approximately Rs 8 crore.

Following the noteworthy four-day extended weekend, which encompassed the Republic Day holiday, industry analysts asserted that the Siddharth Anand-helmed venture needed to maintain two-digit figures to ensure a favorable overall theatrical run. However, with earnings falling below the 10 crore rupees mark, ‘Fighter’ appears to be embarking on a challenging trajectory.

While the audience applauds the stellar performances of the cast, Anil Kapoor’s portrayal of Group Captain Rakesh ‘Rocky’ Jai Singh stands out as exemplary.

In a bid to immerse the audience further into Rocky’s world, the production team released behind-the-scenes footage. The actor is depicted relishing memorable moments on set, and his unwavering commitment and meticulous approach have earned accolades from the crew. The accompanying caption reads: “Resilient, authoritative, and indomitable.”
