Subsequent to Congress luminary Vijay Wadettiwar’s assertion regarding Bollywood luminary Kangana Ranaut’s predilection for beef consumption, Ranaut has issued a rejoinder. In a vehement retort, Ranaut utilized her Instagram Story to denounce the claim as a ‘groundless hearsay.’ This development follows Ranaut’s endorsement as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, inciting a verbal skirmish between Wadettiwar and the candidly expressive BJP contender.

Via her verified Instagram account, Ranaut dispelled the allegations made by the Congress leader regarding her consumption of beef. An advocate of Hindu customs, the luminary penned, “I eschew beef and all forms of red meat; it is lamentable that entirely unfounded rumors are being disseminated about me. I have advocated and championed the yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle for decades; such stratagems will not sully my reputation. My acquaintances recognize my convictions; I stand as a devout Hindu, impervious to any misleading assertions. Hail Lord Ram.”

For those unfamiliar with the matter, the aforementioned Congress luminary, during a rally in Maharashtra, alleged that Ranaut had previously admitted to partaking in beef consumption. Vijay Wadettiwar contended that Kangana Ranaut, the BJP’s aspirant for the Mandi parliamentary constituency in Himachal Pradesh, had acknowledged consuming beef on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly referred to as Twitter).

The Chief Critic in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly derided the Bharatiya Janata Party, insinuating that Ranaut’s candidature was a result of her purported declaration on X expressing her relish for beef. BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye rebuffed Wadettiwar’s assertion, characterizing it as emblematic of the Congress’s “unethical ethos”.
