In the realm of cinematic fascination, Manjummel Boys, the freshest Malayalam survival thriller featuring Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi, has seized attention across digital landscapes. Helmed by the adept Chidambaram, the film unveiled its cinematic prowess on February 22nd, debuting to a resounding blockbuster reception. Esteemed director Karthik Subbaraj, renowned for his contributions to Tamil cinema in creations like Pizza, Petta, and Jigarthanda, prophecies a Malayalam cinema zenith in 2024, prophesying an influx of theater enthusiasts drawn to the enigma of Manjummel Boys.

Karthik Subbaraj, the maestro behind the celebrated Jigarthanda DoubleX, chose the digital platform to shower accolades upon the Malayalam gem. Expressing his admiration, he tweeted: “#ManjummelBoys is Super… Fantastic… Marvellous Film Filmmaking at it’s Best …. Hat’s off Pls don’t miss this awesome theatrical experience. Congrats to #Chidambaram #SoubinShahir @vivekharshan #ParvaaFilms #Sushinshyam #shyjukhalid and all the cast and team.”

Since their respective debuts on February 15 and February 22, Manjummel Boys and Bramayugam have collectively amassed a staggering Rs 60 crore at the box office. Rooted in reality, Manjummel Boys narrates the saga of a band of Kerala youths embarking on a sojourn to the Guna Caves in Tamil Nadu. Populated by relatively unknown actors, the narrative unfolds with one of them plummeting into a profound crevice, sparking a gripping rescue operation.

This cinematic spectacle has captivated not just the populace of Kerala but has reverberated across state and national borders. In Tamil Nadu, prognostications foresee a commendable Rs 10 crore, a substantial feat for a Malayalam production devoid of star-studded allure. Chidambaram’s sophomore directorial venture, following the 2021 release Jan.E.Man, boasts a cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Chandu Salimkumar, Jean Paul Lal, Khalid Rahman, Deepak Parambol, and other pivotal contributors.
