The highly anticipated preview for Madgaon Express, starring Divyenndu Sharma, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary, has been unveiled. As indicated by the trailer, Madgaon Express intricately weaves the narrative around three lifelong companions embarking on a voyage to Goa, entangled in unforeseen twists that unfold into chaotic yet entertaining scenarios.
The plot orbits around three childhood comrades brought to life by Pratik, Avinash, and Divyenndu, assuming the personas of Pinku, Ayush, and Dodo, respectively. Despite diverging life paths, their unbreakable bond since childhood and a shared dream of exploring Goa together bind them.
However, the long-awaited journey to Goa, post-college, takes an unexpected detour. From inadvertently stumbling into a narcotics imbroglio to becoming ensnared in the web of drug peddlers, criminal factions, and law enforcement, their road trip transforms into a tumultuous odyssey. The irony surfaces as, after years of yearning for Goa, they find themselves trapped amidst unforeseen and disorderly events, unable to extricate themselves.
Actor Kunal Kemmu, marking his directorial debut with Madgaon Express, previously disclosed that his foray into writing and directing proved fulfilling and therapeutic. Drawing inspiration from his involvement in the 2013 film Go Goa Gone, where he delved into the art of writing, Kemmu honed his skills during downtime, channeling experiences and ideas into crafting the script for Madgaon Express. The script, a decade in the making, garnered gratitude from Kemmu towards Excel Entertainment’s Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for recognizing its potential and supporting the project.
Madgaon Express unites the skilled thespians Pratik, Divyendu, and Avinash for the first time. Joining this triumvirate in the lighthearted comedy are Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam in substantial roles. Under the direction of actor Kunal Kemmu, the film promises a comical escapade. Backed by Farhan and Ritesh’s production house, Excel Entertainment, Madgaon Express is poised to grace the silver screen on March 22.
