The eminent journey of industrialist Srikanth Bolla is poised to be depicted by Rajkummar Rao in the forthcoming cinematic endeavor “Srikanth – Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne.” Formerly entitled “Sri,” the cinematic piece is slated for unveiling on May 10, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Under the directorial helm of Tushar Hiranandani, renowned for his directorial prowess showcased in “Saand Ki Aankh,” the cast of this opus includes Jyotika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar.
This biographical opus endeavors to delve into the enthralling narrative of Srikanth Bolla, who, despite grappling with visual impairment, valiantly pursued his aspirations and established Bollant Industries.
Born sightless into an agrarian household, Srikanth embarked upon his entrepreneurial odyssey in 2012, bolstered by the support of Ratan Tata. His brainchild, Bollant Industries, is dedicated to the fabrication of environmentally sustainable commodities derived from areca and repurposed materials, thereby fostering employment opportunities for differently-abled individuals. The repertoire of the company encompasses recycled Kraft paper, packaging paraphernalia, disposable wares, and reconstituted plastic articles.
From contending with adversities since his nascent years to grappling with legal impediments in his pursuit of scientific education post the tenth grade, Srikanth’s trajectory was marked by arduous challenges. Nevertheless, propelled by his lofty aspirations, he not only distinguished himself academically but also earned the distinction of being the premier visually impaired international scholar at the esteemed Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States.
The cinematic endeavor, backed by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, is a collaborative venture between T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP, helmed by the production expertise of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.
