Actors Kiara Advani and Sobhita Dhulipala, who are slated to grace the 77th rendition of the Cannes at the picturesque French Riviera, were captured by photographers at the aerodrome as they departed for the esteemed Film Festival. Sobhita is designated to represent Magnum India, a luxury confectionery brand, at Cannes, while Kiara is poised to participate in a soirée deliberating Women in Cinema. Cannes Film Festival 2024 commenced on Tuesday and is set to conclude on May 25.
On the morning of Thursday, the thespian Sobhita was spotted at the aerodrome in Mumbai. She exuded a wide grin and struck poses for the paparazzi before embarking on her journey. Staying faithful to her sartorial flair, Sobhita opted for an attire that was unassuming yet refined. She adorned herself with denim and a tailored jacket atop a charcoal blouse. The Ponniyin Selvan luminary carried a sable handbag and a tome, with her locks cascading freely and devoid of cosmetics.
Accompanying her to Cannes is fellow Bollywood luminary Kiara Advani, who was also seen at the aerodrome. Kiara looked resplendent in the snapshots captured by paparazzi, clad in an elongated overcoat, coordinated trousers, and a white tee with an ecru knit vest. She embraced a minimalist makeup aesthetic, donned sunglasses, and swept her tresses into a lofty chignon. The Kabir Singh luminary is slated to represent India at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala dinner, spotlighting the nation’s burgeoning influence on the global cinematic landscape. The event lauds the contributions of myriad women from across the globe to the realm of entertainment.
In addition to them, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari will also grace the occasion. The global film extravaganza commenced with the premiere of Le Deuxieme Acte (The Second Act), helmed by Quentin Dupieux, on Tuesday evening. Furthermore, the laureate of the prestigious Palme d’Or, Meryl Streep, was bestowed with an honorary accolade during the inaugural ceremony.
