As sharks continue to invest in such deals, a joint deal in a chemotherapy relief solution by ‘Eva Scalp Cooling System’ has caught everyone’s attention.
Shark Tank India 3′ continues to grab attention daily with captivating presentations from entrepreneurs and innovative ideas that aim to revolutionize various industries. As investors, or “sharks,” delve into these opportunities, a collective investment in a pioneering solution for chemotherapy relief, known as the ‘Eva Scalp Cooling System,’ has recently made waves.
In the latest installment of “Shark Tank India,” season three, investors Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, and Ritesh Agarwal collaborated to finalize a joint investment of Rs 30 lakh in the “Eva Scalp Cooling System,” an innovative therapy designed to alleviate discomfort during chemotherapy.
Stemtech Medical Devices, led by entrepreneur Raghuveer Surupa, has developed India’s inaugural scalp cooling apparatus for cancer treatment, showcasing the country’s commitment to pioneering advancements in medical technology.
Presenting his brainchild on the entrepreneurial platform, Raghuveer, an alumnus of IIM Ranchi, proposed a Rs 30 lakh investment in exchange for a two percent ownership stake.
At the helm of Stemtech, Raghuveer navigates the organization with a vision influenced by personal observations of his aunt’s courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
The “Eva Scalp Cooling System,” Stemtech’s flagship offering highly endorsed by oncologists, aids cancer patients in mitigating one of chemotherapy’s most challenging side effects: hair loss.
This groundbreaking solution, operational in 12 hospitals spanning five states, has successfully conducted 1000 sessions in the previous year alone.
The agreement was solidified with Namita, the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceutical Ltd, Aman, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of BOAT, and Ritesh, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of OYO Rooms, collectively investing Rs 30 lakh for a 1.8 percent equity stake.
Reflecting on his participation in the show, Raghuveer expressed, “The opportunity to present ‘Eva Scalp Cooling’ on Shark Tank arrived at a pivotal juncture. Over the past four years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to designing, developing, and manufacturing this device. This platform enables us to shed light on the profound impact of hair loss resulting from cancer treatment and the solution we offer.
