Telugu TV artist Pavitra Jayaram met with a tragic end on Sunday in a fatal road mishap at Sheripally, near Bhutpur in Mahbubnagar district. Having recently returned to Hyderabad after completing filming for a serial in Bangalore, she was accompanied by two relatives and a chauffeur.
The unfortunate incident transpired when their vehicle collided with a median and subsequently with an RTC bus. Pavitra sustained severe injuries and was swiftly taken to Mahabubnagar Government Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her deceased upon arrival. Her companions and the chauffeur also suffered grave injuries in the crash.
The entertainment fraternity is profoundly saddened by the premature passing of Pavitra, eagerly awaiting further elucidation from law enforcement authorities. Actor Sameeip Acharyaa expressed his disbelief and sorrow on social media, reminiscing about Pavitra with heartfelt sentiment. “Awakening to the news of your absence is surreal. As my inaugural on-screen maternal figure, you shall forever hold a special place,” lamented Sameeip, mourning Pavitra’s demise across social platforms.
Originally hailing from Mandya, Karnataka, Pavitra Jayaram commenced her journey in Kannada television with productions like Jokali before achieving prominence in Telugu with Trinayani. Her portrayal of Thilottama garnered widespread acclaim. Her untimely demise has left both Kannada and Telugu television circles in mourning, with fellow performers extending their condolences online.
